Born on July 4, 1938, in Columbus, Ohio, to Harry and Jeanne Post (née Stone), Ilene spent the greater part of her life in Youngstown, Ohio, where she built a remarkable career and a rich community of friends and family.
Ilene started her career as a stock broker in 1967. She was one of the initial females in the industry, eventually becoming a vice president for the investment banking firm of Prescott, Ball & Turben in Youngstown, Ohio. She earned the respect of all of her clients, and worked tirelessly to secure their financial futures. She was a pioneer, mentor, and eager to teach the next generation the ins-and-outs of the financial markets.
Ilene was engaged in her community. She was an active supporter of the Youngstown area Jewish Federation and other local charities. A longtime member of Temple Rodef Shalom and Squaw Creek Country Club in Youngstown, she later enjoyed living at the Boca Polo Club, where she cherished time playing golf and canasta with her many dear friends.
Above all, Ilene was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and spirit touched all who knew her.
