Josephine is survived by her brother, David Goldenson; her children, Neal Klein (Sue), Sara Brill (Allen), and Andrew Klein (Julianne); her grandchildren, Lauren (Michael), Michael (Laura), Rachel (Scott), Emily (Ross), Matthew, and Ethan; and her eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Donald Klein; her parents, Edith and Moses Goldenson.
Josephine attended Utica Free Academy for high school and graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Psychology. She worked beside Donald in growing the Klein’s All Sports business as a merchandise buyer. Josephine was known for her unwavering strength, perseverance, compassion, and dedication to her family and community. She was an active member of her Temple, local Hadassah chapter, and Visiting Nurses Association, among others.
Josephine had a passion for golfing and spent many joyful days on the golf course with friends and family. She also loved her time in Old Forge, New York and Ballen Isles, Palm Beach Gardens, where she and Donald made many great friends and memories.
A funeral service will be held at Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hadassah, of which Josephine was a recognized lifelong donor.
Josephine will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service for Josephine will be held Monday, May 19, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at IJ Morris at Star of David of the Palm Beaches, 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33412.
