Josh was my friend from college at northeastern he was a great guy so sad to here of this Sam polep

His Palm Beach "rugby family" was just made aware of Josh's passing.
We will get to together to toast him and celebrate  his time us.

My condolences to the family and friends. I worked with Herb for about a decade in the insurance business and I remember meeting Josh for the first time about a decade ago and I immediately thought, this guy is too cool and too funny..he's going to drive Herb nuts! But as I told Herb when he contacted me with the bad news- I never told you this but he REALLY loosened you up. Herb was cooler as a result of Josh's personality He would call the office from Philly I would answer,  " Hello , thanks for calling insurance brokers inc, how can I help you-
" Whus Happnin Brotha". 🤣
The whole office loved that dude! 
I'm sure he was still basking in the happiness that surely came from Joel Imbede finally winning the MVP!

I am deeply saddened by the loss that your family have encountered. My condolences. I worked with Josh for 16 years and there was never a dull moment when he called our office. I am going to miss taking his phone calls, as I know once Josh was on the phone, I was definitely going to get a reason to laugh. There would always be some funny stories or jokes he had to tell...  or had a funny message for me to pass on to my boss or coworkers.  He will be deeply missed.

I never met Joshua but I know his loving parents. Having lost children as well, I sadly know their pain. Caroline has always reached out to me in compassion through my loss, I hope she will also reach out to me as she grieves.

Joshua was a favorite guest at our hotel. Every time he came he was always warm, welcoming, and kind. On my birthday he brought me flowers and was always a pleasure. He will be missed by our entire staff.  Sending love and strength to his family.

For 17.5 years my husband and I lived right next door to Josh. Our backdoor was right next to his front door. The memories we have with Josh are tenfold. My husband and I would often jokingly refer to the sounds of Josh coming and going multiple times per day as the sounds of home: muttering to himself, talking to Bandit, slamming the gate—to be sure it closed properly, etc. We could set our clock by his routines. Our door was always open to him and he knew it. We shared our homes, we shared meals, (including Bandit's extraordinary birthday dinners), we shared cocktails, we shared our hopes and dreams. We gave each other advice and sometimes, on occasion, we argued. But, it was always shrugged off quickly. He sent me this photo in a text the day before he left for Miami. He told me he was going to wear it on the plane and that it was his new "formal attire." For nearly two decades, there hasn't been one single day that has passed that I haven't seen or spoken to Josh several times per day. We will miss him forever. 

I had the pleasure of doing business with Josh  for 15 years. Not a day went by where we didn’t speak at least twice a day.  I loved listening to his stories especially about his buddy, Bandit, and how Bandit always knew it was his birthday because Josh would give him steak and lobster!  I will miss his kindness, humor and friendship. 

My deepest sympathies to his family, his friends and all that knew him.  Josh was a wonderful person whose light will always shine bright in many people’s hearts.   He was a special person who will never be forgotten.

I am so sorry to hear the news of Josh’s passing. Condolences to his family and friends. Josh was a colleague of mine for almost 10 years. I spoke to him at 12:33pm on the day of the incident. I had called to remind him to take care of one of his clients. whenever I called him, I always remined him to send me a gift (we always joked about this) He then responded he will only send me his love since that is all he has to give me. I will miss our laughs and his last words of love to me.

He’s a great friend and was loved by so many and gave his love right back.  He may have had a funny way of showing it, but he cared for people and what he did.  We lost a great guy, but we can always pay the love and care forward in Josh’s memory.

My deepest condolences to the Hodess family. Josh was a good friend and colleague for the past 17 years.. Spoke with him less than 2 hours before the incident. He was excited and promised to call back as soon as he returns to shore. I will miss his random calls and great wit.

I am shocked to hear of Josh’s passing.  My condolences go out to his friends and family.  Josh was a roommate of mine in my first condo in West Palm Beach.  I have such found memories of him playing rugby and was just reaching out to him after many years..

Josh, Bandit, my dog and I spent a lovely picnic day in Fairmont Park. Bandit and my dog ate veggie hot-dogs while Josh and I chased butterflies. We had a perfect summer day filled with laughter and happiness. In this picture Josh and Bandit are both smiling. Keep smiling in heaven dear Josh. You'll be missed dearly in this pale blue dot, until I see you again!

Josh was one of the first friendly people I met when I moved to Philadelphia. We talked most mornings while letting the dogs meet and greet in the park and I’ll miss seeing his big smile and hearing his cheerful, “Hey Girls, good morning!” (Both my dogs are girls.) I’m so sorry for the loss of this bright soul.

Dearest family, I’m sorry for your loss. Having just been together for Isaac’s Bar Mitzvah less than six months ago makes this so unbelievable. It seems like yesterday that we were all together laughing and celebrating.  Caroline, Butch, Arthur, Jeremy, Christine, Isaac and family you are in our thoughts and prayers. Kathy(Christine’s Mom), Shannon(Christine’s Aunt), Caitlin and Ashley(Christine’s nieces).
