Kenneth Altman

Born on August 26, 1933, in New York, New York to Abraham and Freida Altman (nee Bieber). In 1951, he met and subsequently married Lila Katz, to whom he remained joyously married for 73 years.

Kenneth was a graduate of City College of New York. He was a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a leader in the field of Public Retirement Plans. He served for many years as the Executive Director of the New York State and Local Retirement System, as well as CEO and founder of Altman & Brown Consulting.

He is survived by his wife, Lila Altman; his sons, Andrew (Susan) Altman, Ian (Laura) Altman, and Larry (Joan) Altman; his daughter, Lisa (Bill) Altman; his grandchildren, Jamie Altman, Matthew Altman, Alison Altman, Jonathan Altman, Ben Altman, Jake Altman-DeSole, and Aaron Altman; and his great-grandchildren, Joscelynne, Sheamous, and Liam.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Altman.
