Born on July 4, 1957, in Rochester, New York, Lorrie spent most of her life in Pahokee, Florida, where she built a life centered around family, compassion, and service to others. She was welcomed into Heaven by her mother, Marilyn, whom she loved dearly.
Lorrie dedicated much of her life to caring for the elderly in her community. As a caregiver, she found her true calling. She often said that taking care of people was what she was meant to do, and her kindness, patience, and loving heart touched countless lives through the years.
While she loved caring for others, nothing meant more to Lorrie than her family. She is survived by her children, Rocky Sparks and Barbie Mosley (Doug); her five cherished grandchildren, Nathen, Abby, Avery, Hayden, and Brody; and her loving siblings, Linda, Jeannie, Carl, Nancy, and Cheryl.
Her children and grandchildren were her world, and she was theirs.
Lorrie was the heart of her family—the bright light who brought everyone together. She loved hosting holiday gatherings, filling her home with laughter, love, and her delicious Southern cooking that became a favorite of everyone fortunate enough to sit at her table. Her siblings meant so much to her, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved.
Known for her positivity and ever-present smile, Lorrie had a gift for making people feel welcome and cared for. Whether she was spending time with family, enjoying a day at the beach, working on crossword puzzles, or keeping an eye on her children and grandchildren through Life360, she found joy in the simple moments of life and in staying connected to the people she loved most.
Lorrie was a wonderful sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She touched the lives of so many with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love. Her family feels incredibly blessed to have shared so many years with her and will forever cherish the memories she created.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, her love, laughter, and the countless lives she touched will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
