Manny Gerstein

September 28, 1939 – December 4, 2025
Obituary of Manny Gerstein
IN THE CARE OF

IJ Morris at Star of David Cemetery of the Palm Beaches

Manny Gerstein, 86, Army and Navy veteran, accomplished attorney, and longtime Chairman of the Ethics Committee in Middlesex County, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.

A devoted husband to Elaine Gerstein for 61 years, Manny built a life defined by loyalty, purpose, and unwavering commitment. He was a proud father to Robin Gerstein and Steven Gerstein, a father-in-law to Joanne Sarlo, and an adoring grandfather to Madison, Alexis, and Chase Gerstein—finding joy in every moment he spent with them.

Manny’s career as an attorney spanned 58 years and was marked not just by professional success but by deep integrity. His leadership as Chairman of the Ethics Committee reflected his belief in fairness, honesty, and service.

Outside the courtroom, Manny approached life with passion and discipline. An avid marathon runner and golf enthusiast, he embraced challenge with the same determination he brought to his work and family life.

Deeply philanthropic, endlessly kind, and profoundly giving, Manny lived every day with a generosity that touched countless lives. As the patriarch of his family, he was a constant source of strength, wisdom, and steady love. His devotion to Elaine, his children, and his grandchildren was the heart of who he was.

Manny leaves behind a legacy of integrity, compassion, and enduring love. He will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
