Mark L. Gerson was born August 12, 1952 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Dr. Theodore Gerson and Josephine Gerson, previously of Philadelphia. He called West Palm Beach his home for 69 years. Mark was a kind and gentle soul who was loved by not only his family, but his extended family at South County Mental Health, where he was a beloved member of the community.
At the young age of eleven, Mark developed a keen interest in Ham radios and the Morse Code. He mastered the use of both, and this passion remained with him throughout his life. Mark's unexpected death leaves a void in the lives of so many people who cared for him deeply.
Mark was predeceased by his mother and his brother, Larry Gerson. He is survived by his father Dr. Theodore Gerson of Atlantis, his step mother Joan Brams and his step brothers David and Daniel Brams, their wives, children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to South County Mental Health as gratitude for their exceptional service to the greater Delray Beach community. A service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday at IJ Morris Star of David of the Palm Beaches, 9321 Northlake Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens.
