A Legacy of Love and Family.
Martin’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Verna, whose lifelong partnership served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they built a family rooted in love and laughter.
He was a proud and loving father to Mindy (Kenny Kapner) and Kenny (Jennifer Solon). His legacy continues through his five grandchildren: Benjamin (Tierney) Kapner, Jessica (Marty) Zelenko, Nicole (Mike) Foley, Kaitlin (Wes) Yengo, and Hannah Solon. He was also the cherished "Great-Grandpa" to seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense happiness in his later years.
Professionally, Martin was a man of immense intellect and precision. As an aerospace engineer, he played a vital role in one of humanity's greatest achievements, working on the Lunar Module for the Apollo space program. His contributions helped put boots on the moon, a feat he took great pride in throughout his life.
When he wasn’t solving complex engineering problems, Martin could almost certainly be found on the golf course. An avid golfer, he spent decades in search of the "perfect shot," continuing to play the game he loved well into his 80s. Whether on the fairway or at home, Martin’s warmth and wit made him a favorite among his many friends.
