Sydell,

I just learned about Mike, and want to express my condolences to you, your daughters Amy and Ellen, and your grandsons.

Mike gave me -- a young, loudmouth kid at the time -- my start in publishing. He shared his knowledge generously, and I learned so much from him about business that I still use to this day. I have wonderful memories from my time working for him and I know he's missed so much.

Keeping you in my thoughts,

Nicole (Cuiffo) Tomassi

JUST LEARNED TODAY 8/15 OF MICKEYS PASSING ,I AM SAD WE DID NOT STAY CLOSER IN TOUCH, LARRY COHEN

Dear Sydell: I just heard about Mickey. I last saw him at the Mc Burney class of 1956 reunion on Long Island in 2006. In high school, the 4 of us hung out together: Herb Zaph, Gordie Young, Mickey and me. We'd catch shows at the Paramount Theatre, thanks to his Dad. We'd eat our lunches in Central Park every day. My thoughts and prayers are with you. If you get a moment, would you email me about Mickey's life since 1956. We lost track of each other, till we hugged in 2006 at Doug Mc Cartney's home. My email address is djstoeltzing@sbcglobal.net Warmest regards, Dick Stoeltzing--Sacramento, CA.

My thoughts go out to the entire family. Michael was a wonderful person.

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Mike's passing. He treated me like a daughter when I worked for him and was a great mentor. He will be sorely missed. So sorry for your loss, Aline & Mark Weiller

It was my pleasure to know Mike for many years as a co-worker and more importantly as a true friend.I was so sorry to hear of his passing and will always remember him fondly.
