Milton was born in Irvington, N.J. in 1918, to Jack & Anna Daniels, immigrants from Eastern Europe. Growing up in Newark & then the Lower East Side of New York, he was the oldest of 4 siblings. He attended P.S. 147 & then the prestigious Stuyvesant H.S. in Manhattan. Milt joined the Army in 1946 & after his service moved with family to a chicken farm in N.J.
He met his future wife, Vivian, on a “blind date” on New Year’s Eve 1953, & they married 3 months later on the first day of spring. Three sons followed — in 1955 (Scott), 1958 (Steven), & 1962 – Craig (Chaim).
During Milt’s career as a construction Project Manager, he built everything from roads & sewers to hi-rise buildings. His specialty was hospitals — Mt. Sinai in NYC; Cleveland Clinic; Univ. of Chicago Hospital; Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, & others around the country. His career took him & Vivian from NYC to Cleveland, Chicago, St. Louis, Harlingen Texas, Southern Calif., & back to Newark.
In the early 90’s Milt & Vivian moved to West Palm Beach, where Milt eventually went to work for the Jewish Federation, overseeing the construction of their buildings, including the Boynton JCC & the original Meyer Academy on Military Trail.
Milt was predeceased by his wife Vivian Daniels, sister Elaine Zaremsky, granddaughter Chana Miriam Ben Daniel, & great grandson Raz Horowitz.
He is survived by his sister Claire & brother Dave, three sons & their devoted wives — Scott (Amy), Steven (Alys), & Chaim (Michal); nine grandchildren — Jacob, Gabe, Jenna, Risa, Shuva, Tehila, Tzion, Yakov & Talya; & fourteen great grandchildren, & many nieces & nephews who loved Uncle Milty.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 pm on July 9, 2026, at IJ Morris at Star of David of the Palm Beaches, followed by Shiva at the home of Steve and Alys.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Milton's honor may be made to The ADL (https://www.adl.org/), or Temple Beth Torah Sha'aray Tzedek (https://www.tbtst.org/).
