Surrounded by his loved ones after celebrating his 88th birthday.
He was a legend in his own time.
Phil an innovator in the women's retail industry, built his empire
"Handmoor" which dominated Chicago fashion in the 60's, 70's, and 80's.
He was born and raised in Chicago and was a 2nd lieutenant in
The 458 Bombardment Group in the US Air Corp Flying B-24's.
Phil was also "The Man of the Year in the Retail Industry",
an honor bestowed upon him in New York by the JUF.
He met his bride Betts (Betty Jane), when he was stationed @ West Overfield in Springfield, Mass.
He is survived by his loving wife Betts of 67 years, two devoted daughters ...

He was blessed with five great grandchildren: Adam, Riley, Bradyn, Cooper, Charli and Baby Leo.
His many great years of beautiful and loving memories will be missed and remembered forever.
