Rachel Berman

She was born in The Bronx, New York on November 7, 1925.

She attended Public School and graduated from High School with a General Degree in 1942 with studies in hairdressing.

She was married to Paul Berman on June 15, 1946.

Rachel was a homemaker and worked as a hairdresser when she was not busy raising her family. She was active in her synagogue, did volunteer work as a nurse’s aide and delivered meals to the housebound elderly. Rachel had several hobbies, including Mah Jongg, baking and snorkeling, but her passion was knitting.

She is survived by her son Steven Berman, daughter Susan Lapidus, son-in-law Steven Lapidus, daughter-in-law Laura Cuzillo, grandchildren Kevin Lapidus (Nancy Lapidus), Bryan Lapidus (Judi Lapidus) and Nicole Gordillo (Cesar Gordillo), and great grandchildren Jared, Sara, Jordan, Eliana, Augusto, Sofia and Nicholas. Daughter Caryn Berman died of ovarian cancer in September 2014.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 9:30AM, February 10, 2017, at Star of David of the Palm Beaches, 9321 Memorial Park Rd, West Palm Beach, FL.
