Rita Diana Bleiweiss Cooper was born December 7, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York. As a child, she was surrounded by a loving extended family who valued togetherness, education, and their Jewish faith.
She met the love of her life, Fred, as a teenager and they lived 35 happy years together. There was nothing Rita enjoyed more than spending time with her children, Robert (Shari) and Edward (Shari). When you walked into Rita’s room, she would also be delighted to show you pictures, art, trinkets, and even a necklace showcasing her grandchildren Felicia (Mitchell), Matthew (Rayna), Maxwell, Michael, and Emily, and great grandson, Everett.
Rita’s favorite place to be was among cherished family and her abundant friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on February 5, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at IJ Morris at Star of David of the Palm Beaches, located at 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33412.
A committal service will be held at the same location on February 5, 2026 from 10:30am to 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rita's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
