

Ruben Handler, 89, of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Leon was born in Brooklyn, New York. Born February 7, 1934 to parents, Abraham and Dora Handler who emigrated to the United States from Lithuania.
Leon was raised in the Brighton Beach section of Brooklyn. He attended Lincoln High School. Attended New York University and Georgetown University Dental School.
He served in the United States Army during the Cold War in Bremerhaven Germany. He was a member of Signal Core and the United States Army Intelligence.
His wife was Arlene Handler. They were married for 61 wonderful years until her death in 2018. He is survived by his children, Dr. Steven Handler and Dr. Bradley Handler, their wives, Marla and Rebecca Handler as well as his grandchildren, Liza Handler, Dashiel Handler and Aaron Handler
He was in private practice Dentist in Rego Park Queens, New York for over 40 years. He also served as the Assistant Director of Dentistry at St. Mary’s Hospital in Brooklyn New York, which was a division of the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens.
Funeral Services and Entombment for Leon will be held at 2:30pm, Sunday, April 30, 2023 at IJ Morris at Star of David of the Palm Beaches, 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33412.
