 today is the last day we sat Shiva.   it is impossible for me to comprehend that a week has gone by without you.I feel as if I am in state of suspended time.people tell me that this will change, but for now it is where I choose to be. Tonight is the first night I will spend alone in our home, and I am happy for this.I lay here trying to sleep but my eyes will not stay closed,can not stay closed.  that is fine because I get to think my own thoughts. I do not have to talk, nor listen.  I now have the privilege of just being alone and wondering how life will go on without you. I do now that it will go on and it will be different but I promise you that I will make it the best life I can for me, your grandchildren that love you dearly and my brothers who hurt so bad.it is a strange feeling for me do not be crying but I think that I am happier for you that your pain and the humiliation you felt are over.you are in a better place and with the people you love and miss so dearly. I know that I too will be there with all of you someday.bad as I always will tell you my favorite saying to live by was Live, laugh, love.  you taught me these things and I swear I will continue to live by them. Rest in peace mom. Your time here on earth was a godsend for so many people who are privileged to know you and a specially those got to love you and receive your love back. We were truly the lucky ones. Sleep well and I will talk to you everyday for the rest of my life.I love you and I miss you.I will just end tonight with the words "Never Again". I cant believe im writing this. That means your gone. Not from my heart . I cant figure out how to deal with this. You would want me to be with family for support but I want to sometimes be alone because you were my support for 40years. I turned to you when I needed comfort. Your love for me did more for me than I can ever thank you for. You were a rare beauty. Your infectious smile your adorable accent your great sense of humournyou had butndidnt realize you had it. I dont know how tondonthis without you. I will take care of mom for you. My heart is breaking that I cant curl up next to you and watchnold movies but my heart is also singing with joy that you have gone to meet grandpa whonwill take your pain away.
