Susan Constance Musinger

Born on January 25, 1944, Susan was the daughter of Dr. Edward and Peggy Douglas. She was raised in Woodmere, New York, attended Woodmere Academy, and earned her bachelor’s degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

Susan married Dr. Jules Musinger on March 22, 1964, beginning a loving marriage and lifelong partnership. After living in New York City and at Andrews Air Force Base during Jules’s service as an Air Force captain, they settled in Rochester, New York. For more than 47 years, they built a life there centered on their family, their Jewish home, and the interests they shared. In 2014, they moved full time to Palm Beach Gardens.

Although Rochester was a long way from Seventh Avenue, Susan brought with her the artistic eye and sense of style she developed in New York. She found a particular passion in antiques and brought Jules into that world with her, giving them an interest they could enjoy together. Over the years, Susan built an exquisite collection and became widely respected for her knowledge and discerning eye.

Susan also loved books, travel, and good food. Elegant, gracious and protective, she cared deeply for others and took special joy in family dinners and welcoming friends and loved ones into her home.

Above all, Susan was devoted to her family. She was the beloved wife of Dr. Jules Musinger and the loving mother of Lynda Musinger Woods; Douglas Musinger (Jamie Young); Deborah Biedenkopf (Tobias); and Jason Musinger (Sharon). She was grandmother to Vivienne, Noah, Kai, Jacob, Ari, Minghan and Milly.

Susan was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Edward and Peggy Douglas, and her brother, Jackie Douglas. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

A Chapel Service will be held at 2:30pm on July 27, 2026, at IJ Morris at Star of David of the Palm Beaches located at 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, F.L. 33412.

A Committal Service will follow immediately after, at the same location.
