Alice Renee Clark, 68, passed away on November 14, 2025, in Baytown, Texas. She was born on November 27, 1956, and lived her life with a smile, an open heart, and a spirit that never met a stranger. Alice had a way of lighting up every room she walked into and made people feel welcomed, seen, and cared for.
Alice spent more than 25 years in the staffing and recruiting industry, building strong relationships everywhere she went. She was known for her dedication and for always going above and beyond to make sure the people she worked with were taken care of. Helping others came naturally to her, and her selflessness became one of her defining traits.
Renee loved the simple joys of life. She was happiest laying out in the sun by the pool or on a boat, relaxing with a Tecate and lime or a mimosa in hand. More than anything, she adored her two granddaughters, Trinity and Greenlea, who brought her endless joy and purpose.
In 2011, Alice suffered a stroke that forever changed her life. Despite the challenges, she faced each day with strength, grit, and determination. Doctors gave her five years; she fought for fourteen. Through every hardship, she held on to her kindness, humor, and love for the people around her.
Alice is survived by her son, Tommy Clark, and his wife Mandy; her granddaughters, Trinity Tuttle and Greenlea Clark; her sister, Regina Rice, and husband Tad, along with their sons Dylan and Noah; and her brother, Blake Edmunds, with his sons Lance, Kyle, and Grant.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Maryanne Risenhoover; her father, JC Edmunds; her grandparents, John Clifford Edmunds Sr. and Nettie Jane (Rosser) Edmunds; her aunts, Martha Alice Merriman and Julia “Judy” Holt; her sisters, Chris Caruthers and Debbie Prescott; and her nephew, Jason Miles.
Alice lived a life marked by love, generosity, and resilience. She touched countless lives, and her impact will continue through the family and friends who loved her deeply.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Zane Talley, Brian Smith, Joey Aten, Victor Peres, Jason Paduh, Tim Inman, George Gates, and Blake Edmunds.
