Alice Lorene Dennis, 68, of La Porte, Texas, passed away August 6, 2018. She was born in Houston, Texas, on October 8, 1949 to William Paul McNeill, Sr. and Lorene McNeill. She was married to Jerry Dennis for 50 years. Alice Dennis was a high school math teacher for 25 years, working at both La Porte and Deer Park High Schools. A life-long advocate for the celebration and inclusion of persons with special needs, Alice was an active volunteer and passionate supporter of The Rise School of Houston, a preschool for children with and without disabilities.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Paul, Sr., and Lorene McNeill and her brother, William Paul McNeill, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Dennis, son Joe Dennis and daughter-in-law, Lisa, of Austin, daughter Jennifer and son-in-law, David Bosley, of Friendswood and the joys of her life, her grandchildren, Abby, Noah, and Kate Dennis and Trinity and Raylee Bosley.

For their love and dedication to children and families like Alice’s own with her brother, Paul, and granddaughter, Abby, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Alice’s honor to The Rise School of Houston, 5618 H. Mark Crosswell Jr. St, Houston, TX 77021.

Biography

Alice Lorene Dennis, 68, of La Porte, Texas, passed away August 6, 2018. She was born in Houston, Texas, on October 8, 1949 to William Paul McNeill, Sr. and Lorene McNeill.
