Alice M. Hicks, (September 25th, 1927 to July 20th, 2011), born in Brooklyn, New York and a long time resident of Deer Park, Texas, graduated into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ on the morning of July 20th, 2011. She was 83 years old. She is survived by her husband Elwood C. Hicks. They were married for sixty-three years. Her sister Dorothy Thompson is a resident of Houston, Texas. Alice has three children: Kenneth Hicks, Janice Washburn, and William (Bill) Hicks. She was Nana to thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Services were held on Saturday, July 23rd at Alice’s and Elwood’s church, Central Baptist Church in Deer Park, Texas. Internment followed at Grand View Cemetery in Pasadena, Texas. Pastor Tim Dunn, Pastor Charles Dunn and Dr. William Hicks officiated the service. The Roger and Sue Harris Family ministered in song. Nine grandsons served as the pall bearers.
