Amelia Gonzalez

Born on October 15, 1935, in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, to Juan and Anita Valerio, Amelia lived a life defined by faith, resilience, humility, and unconditional love.

A devoted wife and loving mother, Amelia built a family rooted in faith and togetherness. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Through her example, she taught generations the importance of prayer, perseverance, compassion, service, and unwavering devotion to family.

Amelia was the heart of the Gonzalez family. She was a woman of deep faith whose prayers covered not only her family, but friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched countless lives and left an enduring mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Amelia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roberto L. Gonzalez; her grandsons David Junkar and Vincent Gonzalez, her parents, Juan and Anita Valerio; her siblings Carmela, Maria de los Angeles, Johnny, Isaias & Esther.

She is survived by her nine children (Dora, Ariel, David E., Rosa, Mary, Robert, Marc, David and Ivonne), thirty-five grandchildren, sixty-five great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and a large extended family who will continue to honor her legacy through the values she lived each day.

Though our hearts mourn her absence, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and find comfort knowing that Amelia has entered the presence of the Lord she faithfully served throughout her life.

Her family will forever cherish her prayers, her wisdom, her strength, her warm embrace, and the unconditional love she shared so freely.

Visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home in the Yellow Rose Chapel, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505, on June 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Amelia's Life will take place at Grand View Funeral Home on June 16, 2026, at 10:00 am. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park.
