Amparo Perez was born October 15, 1942 in Port Isabel, Texas to Lorenzo and Aurora Barrientez. She passed away on Friday, September 12, 2004 in Houston, Texas at the age of 71. She is preceded in death by her father, Lorenzo Barrientez and her brother, Reynaldo Barrientez. She is survived by her loving husband, James Perez; her sons Jim Perez Jr and his wife Tracie and Joseph Perez and his wife Michelle; her daughter, JoAnn Cain and her husband Rick; her grandchildren, Jacob, Lorenzo, Emily, Stephanie, Danielle and Justin; her great grandchildren, Zeke, Lucas and Catalina. She is also survived by her mother, Aurora Barrientez and her sisters, Andrea Hollman, Emma Ruiz and husband Johnny along with many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Grand View Funeral Home between 4pm and 7pm with a rosary that evening at 6pm. A celebration of life service will take place on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Grand View Funeral Home at 10am.
