She was presented to Roberto & Severa Hernandez of Mariana, Texas, on 11-24-1945.
Aurora worked for the Deer Park school district for a short while, but for the most part she was a homemaker & walmart shopper with daughter-in-law. When she was able in her prime years she enjoyed raising her 2 generation families, her children & later to be her grand babies, along with sewing.
Aurora was a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Deer Park from 1973 till she could no longer attend.
She was preceded in passing by her (husband) Juan Riojas, (parents) Robert & Severa Hernandez, (brothers) Aurelio & Guadalupe (sister) Consuelo Mendez & spouse. Along with (great grandchildren) John Pierre Riojas IV & Jaiden Nicole Riojas.
She is survived by her children John, Sharon, & Jody Riojas along with spouses. (Grandchildren) Gilbert Ramirez, Daphnie, BJ, Justin, Jaimie, Jordan Riojas & Michaela Rios, (Great Grandchildren) Betty, Jax & Tweety along with (sisters) Hortencia Estrada & family, Mary H Soliz & family & numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Aurora will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral will occur Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A graveside service will occur Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM with Deacon Charles Pittman at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075.
