Betty Jean Woodall, 86, of La Porte, TX, passed away on September 29, 2018. Born in Amity, Arkansas to Elvis and Irene Beck on March 27, 1932, Betty lived to see astounding changes in history. October 24, 1948, Betty married the love of her life Hulon Woodall.
Betty enjoyed the garden. Flowers in full bloom with the surrounding wildlife gave her joy and delight. As much as she took pleasure planting and pruning, Betty was not a stranger in the kitchen. She loved to cook and raise her children, making sure they all had a memorable childhood so that they would grow to become noble adults. Betty Jean Woodall will be missed by many but forgotten by no one.
Betty Jean Woodall is preceded in death by her husband, Hulon Woodall; Sons, Donnie Glen Woodall and Ernest Woodall. Betty is survived by son, Ronnie Woodall; daughter, Susan Woodall Tettenhorst and son, Hulon Woodall Jr.; nine grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home.
