Beverly D. Dodd Shelton

Beverly D. Shelton, 81, passed from this life on June 21, 2012 in Houston, TX. She was born the youngest of 10 children on December 7, 1930 in Stonewall, LA to the union of Louis Griswald Dodd and Irene Ruby Williamson-Dodd. Beverly was a beautiful and strong lady. Since 1960, she has battled and survived 5 different types of cancer. Beverly was a member of Parkgate Community Church in Pasadena, and co-managed Parkview Theatre in Pasadena for many years with her husband. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Stanley Ross Shelton, Sr.; son, Stanley Ross Shelton, Jr.; and parents, Louis and Ruby Dodd. Beverly is survived by 2 daughters, Vicky Lynn Crain and her husband Tommy, and Marcy Renee Bryant and and husband Mark; daughter in law, Romona Shelton; 1 brother, Louis Dodd; 2 grandchildren, Patricia Lynn Ladd and her husband Brian, and Allan Jacob Bryant; 2 great grandchildren, Brendan Alexander Ladd, and Rebecca Katelyn Ladd.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
