

William Vic Bloskas ("Coach") passed away November 14, 2014. He was born December 14, 1931 in Waco, Texas to George and Alvina (Schrader) Bloskas. Coach was one of six children including: John, Helen, Jimmy, Kay and Paul. He was preceded in death by his wife Marci on February 17, 1998.
Coach is survived by his children: Sherria Bloskas, Ronnie Bloskas and Rhonda, Larry Bloskas and Kristi, Dawn Rambin and Evelyn, Debbie Moon and Harvey Fisher, and Andy Rambin and Robin. Grandchildren: Kristin Bloskas, Keith Bloskas, Chelsi Comito, Cassie Speer, Justin Garcia, Cale Bloskas, Ryan Moon, Paige Bloskas, Tyler Bloskas, and Charleston Rambin. He also has six great grandchildren: Logan and Kennedy Comito, Lacy Bloskas, Kayleigh Garcia and Beth and Evan Speer.
To Coach Bloskas, there were five things most important in life: faith, family, friends, education and sports. He took everything head on and never met a stranger. Coach loved sports, having played high school football, as well as playing football and running track for Baylor University, where he graduated with both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Biology. He served in the United States Air Force.
Coach Bloskas spent many successful years coaching high school sports in Fisher, Rock Island, Tidehaven (State Champions in football and in track) Kenedy, Big Spring, Pasadena and Sam Rayburn high schools. Coach was an avid fisherman and golfer. He loved his grandkids and had many friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 5PM to 7PM at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 3:00pm in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
