

Billy Lee Simons, 90, of Pasadena, TX, passed from this life on Monday, October 20, 2025, in Hearne, TX, at the Crossroads Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born in Leona, TX on January 2, 1935, to Albert Ross and Cleo Simons. He was married to Billie Marie Simons for 64 years. Billy spent most of his career at the Sinclair/ARCO/Lyondell Refinery in Pasadena, TX, working in several positions. He also had his own air-conditioning business and would use those skills to help others and to maintain the units at the church building.
He was a member of the Benchley Church of Christ while living in the Bryan/College Station area, and at Parkview Church of Christ in Pasadena, TX, but spent most of his life as a member and a deacon at the South Houston Church of Christ, where he made lifelong friendships and raised three children.
He was defined most as a person that worked hard, loved his family and put God first always. He could fix anything and would help anyone, family or friend, if they needed his assistance.
Billy Lee was preceded in death by his wife Billie Marie, a baby brother and his parents Albert and Cleo Simons.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Patricia Simons of Bryan, TX, his daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Bill Shaver of Aransas Pass, and his daughter and son-in-law, Terre and Larry Koenig of Hempstead, TX. Grandchildren include Jennie Graham and husband Keegan, Billie Jo Welker and husband Terry, William Shaver and wife, Candielee, Melissa St. Martin and husband Tim and Katie Matthews and husband Nathan. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren, his sister Betty Hayter and husband Larry, and brother-in-law, Richard (Dickie) Lay and wife Ginger, along with a host of nieces and nephews, brother and sisters in Christ and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas, 77505, with a celebration of his life starting at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Besselman, Keegan Graham, Richard Lay, Nathan Matthews, Jase St. Martin, Tim St. Martin, and Bill Shaver.
