Bob was born March 26, 1928 in Seneca, Kansas. He was known as a husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, Bob, Bobby, Brother Bob, Uncle Bob, Uncle Bobby and Telephone Bob.
He served his country in the Air Force for four years, attended Kansas State College, and was recalled during the Korean Conflict. He began his professional career with Western Electric, now Lucent Technologies, and retired with over 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Patty; son, Michael; daughter, Alice; daughter-in-law, Patty; three grandchildren, Tamara and husband Brian, Ashley and husband Quincy, Jordan and wife Amy; and five and a half great-grandchildren. In addition, survivors include his sister, Pat Lynch and husband Arden; brother, Carl Holthaus and wife Maureen; sister, Jean Stedman and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Henry "Hank" Holthaus.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, from 10:30AM until 12:30PM with the funeral immediately following at 12:30PM in the Chapel of Grandview Funeral Home.
