Bobbie Nell McKenzie Boyer passed away on January 31, 2013 in Pasadena, TX at the age of 86. She was born on October 5, 1926 in McComb, MS to James and Mary Rhoda Smith. Bobbie is survived by her husband of 25 years, George A. Boyer; daughter Rhonda McKenzie Pitts and her husband Guinn; sons, Jimmie Dale Minton, James “Smitty” McKenzie and his wife Terri, Darrell McKenzie and his wife Julie; step daughters, Joan John and her husband Wayne, Sheila Gibson and her husband Danny; grandchildren, Kelsey and her husband John, Melody and her husband Lonnie, Kolter, Matt and his wife Ashley, Jaime and her husband Travis, Noel, Michael, Hank, Eddie and his wife Nancy; great grandchildren, Anthony, Jayden, Abby, Maddox, Johnny Mack, and Goose.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm on Monday, February 4, 2013 in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, with a memorial service to begin at 12:30 pm, officiated by Reverend Roland Hill. In lieu of usual remembrances those desiring to do so, may make memorial contributions in memory of Bobbie to any charity of choice.
