He was born Sept 24, 1932 in Batson, Texas to Eugene and Elizabeth Monroe. He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 55 years, Joyce Monroe.
He is survived by their 3 daughters, Karen Kingsbury and husband Terry; Sheryl Huffman; Bobbye Lynn Gillispie and husband Dean. Bobby and Joyce have 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren
Bobby was an active member of Golden Acres Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge of South Houston, TX.
The family will receive friends from 5-8pm Wednesday, Oct 7 at Grand View Funeral Home 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505. Funeral services will be held 10am Thursday Oct 8 in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Brannon Revel followed by a presentation from the South Houston chapter of the Masonic Lodge. Interment will follow in the South Park Cemetery, 1301 North Main St. Pearland, Tx 775581
