Charles G. Anderson Sr.

Charles Gordon Anderson, a World War II veteran, passed away January 17, 2012 in Pasadena, TX. He was born on June 24, 1925 in Harrisonburg, LA to Henry Gratton Anderson Sr., and Frances Cora Fairbanks-Anderson.

Charles is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Ann Cotton Anderson; sister Myrl Elaine; children Bettye Frances and Donny Vordenbaum, Charles Gordon Jr., Pamela Ann and Eddie Habibi, Harlan Glenn; grandchildren Ricky, Debbi, Brian, Twyla, Jake, Kelli, Dylan and Jasmyn; great-grandchildren Mathew, Michael, Zak, Daisy, Emily, Gracie, Sara, Chloe, Mikel, Katie, Jada, Harper, Sheena, Tori, and Joshua and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Henry Grotton Jr., Jacob Corbett, and Harold Lee; sisters Lucille Alma, Lula Alice, and Elizabeth Marie; granddaughter, Amanda Marie Anderson.

The family will receive friends for visitation between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Grand View Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association Memorial Program P.O.
