Charles Edward “Pat” Patterson, born February 2, 1928 in Dallas, Texas, passed away December 23, 2012 in Bryan, Texas. He was a resident of New Baden, Texas for the last 20 years. He was retired from Bechtel Construction and a member of Pipefitters Local #211. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division from 1943 to 1947. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Jacqueline Metcalf Patterson on December 21, 2003; parents, Vester Ernest Patterson and Mamie Mae Petton; and brother, Ernest Vester “Sonny” Patterson. He is survived by his sister, Georgia Lee Dailey of Houston; a half-sister, Linda Glenda McGinnis and husband Stephen of Spring, Texas; nieces and nephews, Lillie Mae Clinard and husband Lee Ray of Gauze, Texas, Loy Freeman and husband Gerald of Pasadena, Texas, Linda Grissom and husband David of Houston, Texas, Terry Dailey and wife Vicki of Houston, Texas and Freddie DeWayne Patterson of Wyoming; numerous great nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 12:30PM to 2:30PM at Grand View Funeral Home with a Graveside Service following at 2:30PM at Grand View Memorial Park.
