Celebrating the life of Charlie Boyd Carter, born on October 27, 1946 in Houston, Texas to Gerald and Verdanell Carter. Charlie graduated in 1966 from Galena Park High School and attended San Jacinto Junior College. He began a career as a machine operator at Champion Paper and worked as a maintenance supervisor for Simpson Paper Company, retiring after 43 years, in 2009.
Charlie was married to Betty Carter for 54 years. He lived in Deer Park, Texas. The birth of his daughter, Melanie Moore, and granddaughter, Lillie Moore, were Charlie’s proudest moments. He especially enjoyed spending time with Lillie, whom he adored. Charlie loved to fish, traveling, and going to the casino. He will be missed by many, especially his special friends, Mark Moore and Roy Kimes.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; and his nephew, Dewayne Carter. Left to reflect on their cherished memories of Charlie are his loving wife, Betty Carter; daughter, Melanie Moore and husband Mark; his granddaughter, Lillie Moore; brother, Bobby Carter; and sister, Elizabeth Medina.
