

Clyde Singleton, 89, of Pasadena, Texas passed away Monday, April 2, 2018. He was born in Haskell, Texas on March 25, 1929 to Samuel and Minnie Singleton. He was married to Lorene Crow Singleton for 65 years. Clyde worked for the Postal Service and retired as Post Master in Fresno, Texas. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Veteran of the Korean War and an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He had a passion for many sports including football, baseball and wrestling. Most importantly his greatest passion was for his family! He had an amazing sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gail Berryman; parents, Samuel and Minnie Singleton; brothers, Earl, Clarence and John D. Singleton; sisters, Bessie Kingston and Montie Rutherford; son-in-law, Gary Pitts; numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorene Singleton; children, Kathy Pitts, Larry Singleton and wife Pam, Vicki Stuart and husband Bob, and Kenny Berryman; grandchildren, Jimmy Berryman and wife Victoria, Roy Pitts, Dale Pitts and wife Hilary; Laura Singleton, Kyle Singleton and Hannah Stuart; great grandchildren, Alexis, Chesney and Kiersten Berryman, Brennyn, Grayson and Jaxsyn Pitts.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, Texas 77505. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 10:00am at Asbury United Methodist Church, 5354 Space Center Blvd, Pasadena, Texas 77505. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Asbury United Methodist Church “building fund” in Clyde Singleton’s name.
