He was born March 14, 1971, in St. Croix to parents Christobel Weston and Romig Francis. He married Trena White Francis June 15, 2013.
Corwin lived in Antigua with his maternal grandparents Dennis and Ina Weston until he moved to La Porte, Texas, with his mother and stepfather Foster Bright when he was eight years old. After graduating high school, Corwin received a scholarship and went on to play football for the University of Miami Hurricanes from 1991 to 1994 and was a member of the 1991 national championship team as a linebacker.
Although that was a HUGE accomplishment, and he played alongside some of the “greats,” and he will always be a part of the “U” family (because it’s all about the “U”), Corwin was even more proud to be a father to Alex and Ciera Francis from a previous marriage. Corwin later married Trena White on June 15, 2013, who literally lived one street away growing up, and the two reconnected after many years. Corwin lived the rest of his days as a wonderful father, son, sibling, husband and friend. Corwin's bright smile, immense laughter and glowing presence will forever be missed.
Corwin is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Dennis and Ina Weston; paternal grandparents Eugene Francis and Agatha George; father Romig Francis; stepfather Foster Bright; and brothers Kenny Francis and Romig Francis Jr.
Corwin is survived and will forever be missed, loved, and adored by his wife Trena; children Alex & Ciera; mother Christobel Bright; 5 brothers: Arlington Bright, Esron Bright, Trevor Bright, Kavine Bright, Cecil Francis; 8 sisters: Beverly Simon, Dawn Bright Saunders, Tanya Bright, Julianne Francis-Nicholas, Dawn Francis-Small, Alicia Francis-Loctor, Denise Francis-Caul, Darlene Pelle, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
