He was born in Point Cedar, Arkansas on February 23, 1926, to Wallace Rowe and Mattie Anderson. He was the youngest of thirteen children.
Gene was married to Ethel Rowe for 52 years and worked for NASA for 21 years. He retired from NASA in 1985. He also retired from the Air Force in 1972 as a Master Sergeant.
Gene had a passion for hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Gene is survived by his grandson, David and Donna Lange, granddaughter Kimberley Hancock, and stepdaughter Sandie and Steve Hartzog.
He has four grandchildren, Michael and Tami Lange, Matthew and Kyliegh Lange, Johnathan Cisneros and Andrea Wisdom, and Kristina Cisneros Dollan.
He has three great grandchildren, Ryder Pratt, Walker Lange, Desten Lange.
A visitation for Dailey will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A committal service will occur Monday, August 21, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home & Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505.
