As the patriarch and historian of the family, he instilled our core family values and above all “Big Daddy” loved all of his grandchildren dearly. A few of his favorite pastimes were listening to good music, dancing, fishing, feeding wildlife, photography and fixing his “blue goose “ the 1967 Chevelle. After twenty plus years of dedicated service to the Houston Independent School District, David Garner retired as Superintendent of Transportation.

David was more than a cousin in law he was my friend. I beat in Dominoes most the times he was a good person who will be missed by family friends and people who knew him well. He would always make u laugh he did his best to touch one and all over the phone after his health start failing him. Each time he came to Oklahoma he and his wife would come visit us all. May God bless his soul when I go to Heaven to join him I will still beat him in Dominoes..... lol! Love ya David
