Debbie “MooMoo” Norvell, a beautiful soul with a loving heart and an unwavering faith in Jesus, passed away on October 5, 2026, in Pasadena, Texas, just four days before her 76th birthday. She was born on October 9, 1950, in Ranger, Texas.
Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tim J. Norvell; her mother, Faye Lambert Johnson; her father, Rufus Warren Linebarger; her brother Tony Johnson and brother Roger Linebarger.
Debbie leaves behind the greatest treasures of her life—her family. She is survived by her one and only son, Brooks Norvell, and his wife, Jenny, and her one and only grandchild, Ambryanna J. Norvell, who held a very special place in her heart.
She is also survived by her siblings: Mark Linebarger; Joe Johnson and his wife, Terry; Faith Falk and her husband, David; Peter Johnson and his wife, Lena, Becky Johnson Morgan, Bobbie Kay Linebarger Freudiger and husband Bob; and Joyce Linebarger Coe and husband Jack. She leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were touched by her love.
Debbie was a woman who loved deeply and gave generously of herself. She had a beautiful soul and a heart that made people feel loved, welcomed, and remembered. To those who knew her, she was not simply a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, or friend, she was someone truly special who brought her own light into the lives of others.
Her faith in Jesus Christ was an important part of who she was. She carried that faith throughout her life and found comfort in knowing that her earthly journey was not the end. Her love for Jesus, her family, and the many friends who loved her will remain a lasting part of her legacy.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we can take comfort in knowing that Debbie is now in the presence of the Lord, and reunited with those she loved who went before her.
Her memory will live on in every story told, every smile remembered, every lesson she taught, and every life she touched.
Visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, Yellow Rose Chapel, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505, on October 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
