Diana Lee King

Diana graduated from Northfield High School in 1964 and from Ball State University in 1968, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Education and English. After a career in education and subsequent career at the Harris County Public Defender’s Office, she retired and assumed leadership roles through the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 521, serving as Department President of Texas for the 2010-2011 year. Every person whose life she touched knew her dedication to servicemembers, veterans, and their families through her 30+ years of service with the American Legion Auxiliary.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Danny Lee King; her children Heather Reat and husband Jason of Pasadena, Texas, and Chad Ewer and wife Deniss of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Corey Masten and wife Becka of Fife, Washington; Audrey Ewer of Houston, Texas; Jordan Masten of Peru, Indiana; and Dennis Ewer of Houston, Texas; her brother Darrell Hileman and wife Kathy of Lake Placid, Florida, and their children and grandchildren; bonus grandchildren Katie, Leanne, and Brandi and their children; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
