She was born on November 5, 1947, in Houston, Texas, to the late Alton and Viola Kinser. Diane was the beloved wife of the late Alvin Arnette Sr., with whom she shared 31 joyful years of marriage.
Diane dedicated over three decades of her life to her profession as a legal secretary, spending the last 20 years of her career with the firm Dunn, Kacel, Adam, and Pappas Law, where she was respected for her diligence, professionalism, and grace.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life — shopping, playing dominos with friends, and sharing home-cooked meals with those she loved. A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Pasadena, Diane participated faithfully in worship, attending services online when her health prevented her from being there in person. Her love for life and sense of fun also led her to enjoy the occasional visit to the casino, where she was affectionately known as a "one-arm bandit."
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Viola Kinser; her sister, Ruby Larson and George Larson; her nephew, Billy Larson; and her niece, Elsia Allison.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cindy Foster; her son, Alvin Arnette Jr, and his wife Erin; and her cherished grandchildren, Kallie and Ethan Dahl. She also leaves behind her dear nephews and nieces: Charley and Bobby Larson, Kelly and Shelly Allison, Michael Larson, and Courtney Sarvis, along with many extended family members and close friends who will miss her dearly.
Diane’s warmth, laughter, and generous spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505, on June 4, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A memorial celebration of Diane's life will be at First Baptist Church Pasadena, located at 7500 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, Texas, on June 5, 2025, at 11:00 am.
