Dovie Lou Brown went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2022. She was born in Mabelvale, Arkansas on February 20, 1930 to John and Cecil Huff. She was married to her best friend, Carl (Duck) Brown for 56 years. They raised four daughters, Linda, Sherry, Vicki and Carla with all the love, guidance and patience that Godly parents could possibly provide.
She is preceded in death by her parents John Huff, Cecil Becker, seven siblings, husband Carl (Duck) Brown, daughter Linda Pyle, grandchildren Susan Young and Jason Hale.
Survivors include Sherry Bufkin and husband Roy, Vicki Pepper, Carla Sumrall and husband David. She had 7 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren and so many other extended family members.
Dovie loved her family and friends and prayed for each and everyone of them daily. She loved to fish, ride 4-wheelers and go anywhere to camp and visit with friends. She loved to travel, she loved to work in her flower beds and just to be outside. And did I mention, she loved to fish! Anyone that met her loved her. She had a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. But more than anything, she loved God and she wanted everyone she knew to know Him and love Him too.
She was an active member of LifeBridge Baptist Church and loved to teach her Sunday School class of senior ladies. She loved to write poetry and loved to share it with others.
Her favorite two sayings are,
This is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.
I am too Blessed to be Stressed!
