Edward Joseph Cassidy

Edward was born on April 9, 1942, in Central Falls, Rhode Island to Louis and Henrietta Cassidy. He attended Central High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1963. After his military service, he studied business at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.

In 1981 Edward met Barbara Sears; they married in 1982 and built a life together centered on family, faith, and community. Edward and Barbara were devoted parents to their children and doting grandparents to their ten grandchildren.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Michael Cassidy; and his granddaughter, Crystal Cassidy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; his sons Langdon and Edward Cassidy Jr.; his daughters Barbie Blankenburg, Courtney Lewis, and Lindsay McComb; and his grandchildren Brandon, Shawn, Troy and Brett Cassidy and James Cassidy; Dylan Standridge and Dani Rae Blankenburg; Jameson and Audrey Tamborello; and Kaylie, Alden, and Cameron McComb.

Edward will be remembered for his quiet strength, steady devotion to family, and the warmth he shared with those around him.
