Gene was a resident of Pasadena, Texas. He was married to Norma Boike for 69 years.
After 31 years with the US Postal Service and 34 years of retirement, Gene left this good earth which he loved to till and garden, and went home to be with our Lord. There he will join his parents and six brothers.
He is survived by two brothers and one sister. Those left here to cherish Gene's memory are his wife Norma, children Sheila McGrath (David), Jeanie Wood (Robert), Steve Boike, Sandra Shaw, Dan Boike (Teresa), 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He will be truly missed but forever in our hearts.

A visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas, 77505, on February 12, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A Celebration of Gene's life will start at 2:00 pm. Immediately following, he will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park.
