Eulalia "LaLa" Martinez

Eulalia “LaLa” Martinez, 94 of Deer Park was born February 13, 1927, in Wharton, Texas to Luz Olivo and Inez Gonzalez Olivo and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was a very active member in her church San Juan Diego Catholic Church and the Guadalupana’s Society at the church, she was a wonderful cook and was well known for the beans; she loved her church and all the activities they had going on and helped out with the church bazaars.

She is survived by her children, Gloria Galavis and husband, David; Fernando (Fred) Martinez; Ernest Martinez and wife, Mary; Yolanda Leffew and husband, Michael, Mary Sherrill and Norma Singh; sister, Mary Lou Clements, 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren along with other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Primitivo Martinez; her sisters, Beatrice Razo and Olivia Silva and brothers, Jesse, Frank, and Jose Olivo.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Grand View Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with a rosary being recited at 6:00pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 10:00 at San Juan Diego Catholic Church with burial following at Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Fred Martinez, Ernest Martinez, Larry David Martinez, Joshua Ernest Martinez, Jordan Sherrill and Ernest Joseph Martinez.
