

Evangelina S. Salazar, aged 91, passed away on November 7th, 2024. Born in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on February 18th, 1933, she was the cherished daughter of the late Agustin Saldaña and Cristina Arjona. Evangelina was a beloved resident of Houston, Texas.
She was married to Daniel B. Salazar, who preceded her in death, for 51 wonderful years. Evangelina was a devoted housewife and a treasured member of the Evangelical Church for 67 years. Her passions included gardening, sharing Christ with others, Bible reading, and prayer.
Evangelina is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Daniel B. Salazar, and her oldest son, Javier Salazar. She is survived by her family, including Maria Hortencia (Javier’s widow), Sonia (Juan) Botello, Nieves (Marcelino) Palacios, Daniel (Maria Isabel) Salazar, Marcelino (Consuelo) Salazar, Sergio (Aide E.) Salazar, Saul (Ma. De Jesus) Salazar, Moises (Juany) Salazar, and Evangelina (Ruben) Verastegui. She leaves behind 23 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Jose (Maria) Saldaña, Aurelia (Anacleto) Montañez, Margarita (Pedro) Gutiérrez, and Juan (Aracely) Saldaña, also survive her.
A visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505, on November 16th, 2024, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a graveside service from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Evangelina will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
