Evelyn Catherine Ballard Grimes, 84, was born on March 5, 1932 to Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Ballard in Houston, Texas. She passed away November 14, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Wilford B. Grimes; daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Edgar Burrough; son and daughter-in-law Richard and Elizabeth Grimes; 7 grandchildren - Cory, Dustin, Toby, Tami, Aaron, Kenneth and Candace; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Evelyn was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother. She loved cooking and taking care of everybody in her family. She loved attending family gatherings especially in the country. For many years she enjoyed membership at Zion Lutheran Church in Pasadena. She also was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. P. A. Ballard and her 4 siblings, Pete, Robert, Kenneth and Margaret.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
