Fannie adored her family. Fannie was a photo journalist for over 20 years. She loved her work she was always writing and taking pictures for local newspapers as well as the Houston Chronicle. She loved meeting people and telling their stories. Fannie was a beautiful woman inside and out. She spent every ball season being team mom, along with dad coaching baseball, for their son Todd Williams. She would drive her daughter Jill Archer to every beauty pageant or singing contest. Fannie was very creative and would sew all of Jill's dresses. She was very close to Tammy Lyssy, her oldest daughter who loved to do tap, ballet, and jazz. Fannie took her to Brownie troop meetings and she was head chairman of all the Girl Scout cookie sales. There were cookies to the ceiling because they had to store all of them at home. Tammy was in cheerleading for the Mustangs, being cheered on by mom and dad.
Fannie loved all her “grands “ and having grandkids night out at her house. She would cook their favorite foods and just spend quality time with each of them.
Fannie was a petite little woman but her heart was not. She helped so many people to turn their lives around and she made a difference in this world. Fannie stood up for what she believed in. She was fiesty and when she set a goal you can bet she would succeed. She loved Elvis Presley, she loved to go country western dancing, yoga, painting and working in her garden. She was a member of St. Hyacinth’s Catholic Church. She was strong in her faith. Fannie will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She has finally been reunited with her husband, granddaughter and all of those that went before her.
Fannie is at peace and we look forward to the day we are reunited in heaven. Her memorial service will be held at Grand View Funeral Home on May 17th at 2:00.
