St. Juan Diego Catholic Church and worked at Champion/Simpson paper for many years. He
is preceded in death by his wife Paula Trevino, his parents Manuel and Rosa Trevino, brother
Simon Trevino, sister Lupe Layton, sister in law Lupe Trevino (Raymond), brother in laws Jay
Reynolds and Randy Romero. Survivors include sons Fermin Trevino Jr and Felix Trevino,
daughter Mona Cantu and husband Carlos Jr.; grandchildren Natalie and husband Peter,
Michael, Julian, Jason, Deonna, Victoria, Carlos III and Christopher, great granddaughter
Dresden, brothers Raymond Trevino, Manuel Trevino and wife Frances, and Joe Trevino, sisters
Janie Grimes, Frances Arredondo and husband Ruben, Angie Romero, Rosemary Gutierrez
and husband Ruben, and Carmen Trevino, sister in law Linda Trevino, brother in law Henry
Layton, and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Fermin was coach for the Genesis softball team of Pasadena for his sons. They began
playing in a 18 and under league and went on to win state 2 times, 1984 and 1988 in different
levels. The Genesis played together with many different lineups for over 20 years.
A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm, Friday, June 11, Grand View Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Juan Diego on
Saturday June 12 at 9:00 am. The church will open at 8 am. We will then proceed to Grand View Funeral Memorial Park for internment.
