Florencio (Sal) was born on November 25, 1957, to Jesse and Sarah Saldana in Houston, TX. With Sal’s strong work ethic, he built a career, and a second family at Sunbelt Rentals as a Sr. Equipment Rental Specialist. He was a husband, a father of 3, stepfather of 8, a grandfather of 17, and a brother. He was a proud Houstonian who loved and bled Houston sports. There was never a day he wasn’t wearing a Houston Logo with a matching cap. A man who loved to fire up the pit and make delicious barbecue with such confidence that he would even say, “no one could touch his Smoke Flo Chicken”. He was a kind hearted man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Sal enjoyed music, dancing and took pride in loving his family, as well as his truck.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Sarah Saldana, sister Barbra Saldana.
Survived by his wife, Diana Saldana. His children, Florencio and Elizabeth Saldana Jr., Stephanie and David Zamora and Tiffany and Jose Alvarez. His brother, Jesse and Maria Saldana. His sister Norma Rodriguez His stepchildren, Jason, Alex, Joseph, Max, Charles, Veronica, Christina, Melissa Rivera and numerous grandchildren.
A visitation for Florencio will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A graveside service will occur Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
