Gabriella Long

Gabriella was raised in St. Joseph and also in San Francisco. She graduated from Lafayette High school in 1974. She worked in Kansas City and was raising her children, Sarah and Travis, while putting herself through college and graduating with a master’s degree in accounting and business.

Gabriella won numerous awards including, Outstanding Service and Exceptional Effort to the North Channel Area Chamber of Commerce in 1997, Outstanding Leadership in 1997 and Chairman’s Award in 1998. In 1999 she served as an incoming chairman and in 2000 she served as chairman of the board for North Channel Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by her husband, Bear Long; daughters, Amber and Sarah; son, Travis; grandchildren, Rylan, Keaton and Connor; brother, Jack Fleck and wife Jeanette; nephews, Tyler and Chris Fleck; mother-in-law Wanda Long; brothers-in-law, Randy and Ricky Long; and numerous grand nieces, cousins and her fur babies, Thor, Tala and Sweet Pea.

Gabby foremost loved her family, her children, her animals and her life. She also loved her many friends,she will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 9:00am to 10:00am with a Memorial Service starting at 10:00am.
