Garland Floyd Carter, 78, of Clear Lake, TX passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018. He was born in Alexandria, LA on April 3, 1940 to J.D. Carter and Nellie Carter-Durden. He was married to Wilma Carter for 55 years. Garland worked as a Marine Clerk and Checker for Maritime. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and being around his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Carter; mother, Nellie Durden; brother, Jerry Carter; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Bonita Atkinson and grandson, Joseph Garland Bustamante. He is survived by his loving wife, Wilma; sons, Early Dee Carter and wife Annissa and Ernest Lee Carter; daughters, Amanda Dean and husband Ricky and Karen Bustamante; grandchildren, Billy and Nicole, Carrinda, Lyndsey, April and Sean, Melody and Michael, Hannah and James, Caitlin, Cody and Chelsea, Johnathan, Matthew, Shelbie and Tyler, Celina and Matthew, Christin and Bryan, Christopher and Meagan; and 27 great grandbabies.
